CELIM Milano @Pamodzi Ndi Ana
For years I wanted to experience a country with a totally different culture abroad. I have friends who have left and returned from various African countries, and every time they came to Italy I saw them changed. I wanted that change. So, in 2020, as soon as my family situation allowed it, I started looking at how to leave. Due to COVID, the best chance was a government program called "Servizio Civile". I took courage, applied, and managed to leave in 2021. An unbelievable experience.
PwC
Even before finishing my Master's degree, I was contacted for applying to PwC. So I did, without any expectations. I was still in Scotland for my Erasmus+Internship when I had my first interview. I was dealing with SAP products, both in Italy and internationally. In PwC I learned a lot but not everything shines. I think I need to write an article to explain properly my point of view.
Global Voices Ltd (erasmus+)
More interesting than the company is the Erasmus+Insternship programme. The programme is not a bad one, it allows many people to gain experience abroad and widen their horizons. But they do not pay much, and you can experience a bit of everything, company-wise. Global Voices in this case was relying on trainees like me for the most repetitive tasks. And they didn't pay you, of course. You had to live on what was coming in from the grant. Not the best solution, but I'd do it again.
